Session Description
This presentation is designed to help the non-mental health professional learn more about how to respond with compassion to peers, employees, and staff who come forward with what may or may not be a mental health need. This is not designed to teach how to identify what kind of help someone needs, but rather, how to respond effectively and help alleviate some of the fears professionals have in the form of "What do I do now?" when faced with someone else's problems or emotions. Participants will learn a 3-step approach to be a more effective helper in their workplace and take care of themselves in their roles as professionals.
